Things to do in Morecambe
The much-loved seaside resort of Morecambe is extremely popular in the summer, with local residents and visitors charging to the large sandy beaches to make the most of the summer weather by the sea and then the picture worthy sunset at night. Visit the ‘Winter Gardens’ a stunning 1897 Victorian theatre which has a jaw dropping auditorium and all of its original decor, it truly is one of kind. Take a walk down the prom and watch flocks of wading birds, ducks and geese feeding on the intertidal flats and the salt marshes. There are lots of activities for families of all ages.
Visit Lancaster
The historic city of Lancaster is located just 4 miles from the park and is easily accessible by bus or train from Morecambe, with history dating back over 1000 years there is plenty to see and do. Make sure to stop at Lancaster Castle and see where the trial and conviction of the famous Lancashire Witches took part. Explore the secret areas of Williamsons park and visit the butterfly house which was designed in Edwardian times. Why not shop around the selection of high street branded shops and then relax in one of the many cafes or pubs that Lancaster has to offer.

The Lake District is also within a short journey from our park and here you will find scenic walks and unique wildlife. If you are a thrill seeker then Blackpool Pleasure Beach is within a short public transport journey.
